August 1999: Cesky Raj (Bohemian Paradise)

There was no traditional "Brno Dam Swimover" this year, so VH and MK made an alternate one-day family trip to Cesky Raj. They gathered four own children, borrowed two more and started from Turnov railway stop. There were some sandstone rocks with viewpoints, a ruin of the rock castle Valdstejn - we looked around it and ate some breads in front of the castle.

At Hruba Skala castle there was too many people and cars, so we climbed to another ruin (children exploring stairs in the rock, leading into some abyss), then to Trosky - another rock castle. There we hurried down to the train station and returned home (VH with his son to Hradec, MK with the rest of children through Jicin to Prague, leaving the children borrowed from friends at Kopidlno (they live there :-) .
